This course is carried out in and around ROBE in South Australia. Again as with all of our special courses, a prerequisite of completing a basic 4WD course by a recognised provider is required.
We stay at one of the camp grounds in Robe where you can camp, caravan, camp trailer or cabin on the site. There are several other accommodation options available in the Robe vicinity should you prefer.
We depart from a central meeting point each morning in the camp ground travelling to many of the different beaches or sand dunes throughout the day whilst always under the guidance of experienced instructors. Throughout the course along with your driving skills being further developed, we will cover map and GPS reading, safe wheel changing operation and tyre puncture repairs, recovery techniques including sand winching, emergency and mechanical repairs, camping tips and camping etiquette with special attention placed on your safety and care for the tracks and the sensitive surrounding environment.
We return late afternoon in time for you to relax, unwind and prepare your evening meal, or go to one of the many restaurants or eateries in town.
Many people have said this is the best fun they have ever had in a car, and we would have to agree with them. The knowledge gained from this course will give you the confidence to travel into the toughest desserts in Australia without fear of failure.
Another very social course which is ideally suited to the whole family, and again the price includes participation of your family. No extra charge apart from your camping or accommodation fees and food.
