Similar to the High Plains course offered, our snow course further builds on the competencies and knowledge gained in a Basic 4WD training course. Our two day snow course operates from the Black Spur Inn, Narbethong with an overnight stay in comfortable warm accommodation, with a hearty meal available in the restaurant.
Our journey begins on a Saturday morning from the Hotel and travels into the High Country above the snow line to experience the joy of being in the snow within the warmth and comfort of your vehicle.
You will be required to have a pair of snow chains on board to fit to your vehicle, and be self sufficient with food and drinks during each day of travel along with the correct protective clothing and footwear for snow conditions.
Topics covered will be map and GPS reading, recovery techniques including winching, chain fitment, emergency and mechanical repairs as necessary whilst furthering the development of your driving skills under the watchful eye of qualified instructors.
